So, someone killed my sweet Puppy.....
If you're guilty, raise your hand.......!?!
YEAH RIGHT!.....
I do not expect the guilty person to admit to such a heinous act. However, I do hope my Puppy's death
will not be in vain.
Therefore, I am adding this page to warn other pet owners of specific risks that may be encountered while
renting an apartment or other dwelling.
And, I hope that, through Lady Justice, other pet owners will be forewarned of possible dangers and may
be able to prevent a tragedy like this from happening.
1. Don't assume that "Pet friendly" in an apartment advertisement means that all employees there love
animals.
2. Always obtain written, prior documentation of when someone will be entering your residence and
for what purpose.
3. If possibe, lock your pet in an area that is not accessible to others while you are away.
4. Try to "change your schedule"...don't follow a "regular routine" if possible, just in case someone
is "watching" what you do and "timing" your arrival and departure.
5. Before moving in, ask questions:
a) Were the locks changed to this residence? When?
b) Who will have access to ths residence and for what purpose? (i.e. maintenance, contractors, etc.)
c) Request that no one enter your residence unless you are home.
d) Research the area, yourself. Contact the local authorities and ask around about the community.
6. Consider purchasing a surveillance system if you suspect unwanted intrusions into your dwelling.
7.
***In reality, there is really no absolute way to prevent someone from causing you or your pet harm. And,
unfortunately, some "authorities" do not seem to consider this particular incident to be a "priority", despite other expressed
concerns. *** So, the BOTTOM LINE IS: Do the best you can to live your life and love your pet,
as usual. Just know that there are some very cold, evil people out there. So, love and enjoy every moment with
your pet. You never know if that moment will be the last minutes you spend together.
PLEASE NOTE: The pictures below might make you sad. If you do NOT want to see a picture of Puppy's casket
(although she is completely covered with her favorite blanket), please click the link below to go back to the previous page.
But, Please, do not take these words lightly. If I can prevent just one person from suffering the pain I feel right
now, my sweet Lady Justice's death will not be in vain.

Below, is an excerpt from the prayer we placed in Puppy's
casket. You can see the prayer laying on top of her blanket, above. It is a verse that speaks of time: there is
a set a time for everything

Ecclesiastes 3: 1-11
To
everything there is a season, and a time and purpose under the heaven.
A
time to be born and a time to die: A time to plant and a time to pluck up that which has been planted;
A
time to kill and a time to heal: a time to break down and a time to build up:
A
time to weep and a time to laugh: a time to mourn and a time to dance;
A
time to cast away stones, and a time to gather stones together; a time to embrace and a time to refrain from embracing;
A
time to get, and a time to lose, a time to keep and a time to cast away;
A
time to rend, and a time to sew; a time to keep silence and a time to speak;
A
time to love, and a time to hate; a time of war and a time of peace;
What
profit hath he that worketh in that wherein he laboreth?
I
have seen the travail, which God has given to the sons of men to be exercised in it.
He
has made everything beautiful in His time; also He has set the world in their heart, so that no man can find out the work
that God maketh from the beginning to the end.
Sorrowfully submitted by;
Your Loving Provider, Keeper and Best Friend;
Your Friend who gave you treats, General Tso’s chicken, and ice;
Dad, who loved you, too, and helped care for you
Mom, who loved you and the joy you brought to our Family
Sienna, Your Beloved Friend who preceded you into eternity.
Our Aunt, who loved you and brought you your first mink stole.
The Family who sent a beautiful bouquet to keep your memory alive.
A host of Family members and Friends who called to express their sympathy.
REST WITH THE ANGELS, AND DRINK ALL THE WATER YOU WANT!
WE WILL LOVE YOU FOREVER……..
